Our Roots

Casa dei Bambini San Giuseppe, Inc. which was established on June 2, 2000, is an Institution owned and administered by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

In the beginning, the foremost concern of the Founder of the Institute of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus  (SSC, Blessed Maria Schinina’, was to provide shelter for the poor and the homeless including the orphans. She loved them and wished the Sisters to continue this service. She understood that education is, above all, a preparation for life and a woman has to be formed to meet with serenity the trials of life, to assume all kinds of responsibility in order to take a rightful place in the society. With her concern and spirit of Christian charity, she received orphans into the Institute, loved them, cared for their health, and facilitated their human and religious formation and scholastic progress.

Now the SSC with their continuous immersion in Silang, Cavite, has discovered personally and through other concerned persons, the plight of the less privileged people in the vicinity especially the children who are in dire need of shelter, care, protection, and education. The SSC opened Casa Dei Bambini San Giuseppe Inc. to respond concretely and unselfishly to the needs of the society in the present time.
